On May 30th Jerry Hinton reported that Mike Pasik caught a nice 22 1/2 smallie truly a trophy Bass but, however, it is out of season on Lake Erie.   It wasn't until I noticed the picture of this nice fish on the "member braggin" page that it was actually kept and not returned to the lake.    As a reminder,  Bass season doesn't open on the Great Lakes and connecting waters until the 3rd Saturday in June (Michigan waters) and the 4th Saturday in June in Ontario waters.    Only on INLAND waters does the Bass season open the Saturday before Memorial day.

CORRECTION. Open Bass season Lake Erie on Michigan side is Memorial weekend but it is still the 4th Sat. in June on Ontario waters.   Please correct me if I'm wrong.   I think it's silly that Ontario, Michigan, and Ohio can't agree on a common set of regulations for this shared body of water.   This includes # of rods, limits and size of fish, use of anchors,  porta-pottys, etc.
