| it all depends on your want/needs. lund, crestliner, alumacraft are the top 3 makes for aluminum. there are alot of other manufactures of aluminum boats but it can become difficult finding a quality dealer. and you get what you pay for, some boats are manufactured strickly to hit a price point. which is fine, but those boats are typically not top in quality/options etc. a quality dealer should be high on your list. sit in each boat and look around, touch, reach, and make sure it fits yours and your family's needs.

| I have been fishing Lund boats for 3 years now, after many, many years of fiberglass boats and I love my Lund. By now you have determined there is no perfect boat. As Tom said, get in the boat and think about how you'll use it. Then look at all the competition. Then talk to dealers. I went all the way to Lapeer to buy my Lund because Chapman's answered my questions and didn't just try to tell me what I wanted to hear. Actually, they weren't the cheapest. My boat was prepped to perfection using the best in connectors, etc, I had everything I wanted installed by them. Buying a boat can be a lot of work, but spend it now and you won't be sorry later. I would never buy a boat at a show only because I want to spend time with my salesman going over "stuff"!
