I would like to know when people plan to start being on the river looking for Walleye? example, (early,mid,late) March? April? May?

Once the weather warms up and there are no ice flows. If that happens in February I will be out there.

I think 3rd week of March is probably it for me. Waiting to see what the weather will be the next few weeks.

| as soon as there are no ice flows. usually by then the park benches, logs, broken shantys have floated down already. luckly missed a park bench one year that was about 1 ft under water floating down and saw it as i was running upstream on my side of the boat... have hit sunken ice before. now i just don't risk it.
