has anyone ever gone to lake gogobic in the western u.p?

i am concidering going there this summer instead of canada, but am looking for more info. any help would be appreciated.

Yes I have, about 3 years ago. Had the worst weather all week long. In June & rained every day, a cold front came thru. I mean lightning, high winds. Drank alot of beer & played cards.Didn't catch many fish, but, the ones we got were nice size. A 6 lb walleye, & a few perch that were 12 inches. Stayed at Goegebic Lodge, about the middle of the lake on the  Western shore. That lake is 15 miles long, north to south. Good luck!
