Erie Metro is the only one on the Michigan side that I heard is open. I called Elizabeth Park a week ago & they said so far they don't plan to open until April 1st. City Marina & Lasalle ramps are open on the Canadian side.

I'm planning on heading out to the TC on Saturday so I'm going to take a ride & (Ecorse down to Metro) on Friday to check things out. I'll post back if I see any of the ramps open.

with tonights weather report and the pictures of the ice up to the north, it looks like next tuesday or thursday will be better conditions and give the water a few more days to warm up

Drove by Wyandotte boat ramp today and it appears to be open. Saw one empty boat trailer in the parking lot.

I drove by there today as well & there was one trailer in the lot. I drove up to the docks & only seen a few chucks of ice floating by.

The Ecorse launch was closed.

Heard a rumor that the Ecorse ramp was bought out by the neighboring Marina (which I believe is WYC) and it will not be opening.  Doesn't make any sense, has anyone heard anything on this?

Haven't heard that one but I understand that a big waterfront restaurant is going in on the south side of the Wyandotte ramp and they will be buying the ramp for the restaurant and the ramp will be moved to the foot of Pennsylvania, probably as a launch only.  Since it was paid for with a DNR grant if they don't have a public ramp in Wyandotte, they would have to pay the grant back

No idea but I understand that this will be a pretty big place.  Maybe they don't want a marina.  They are already working on converting the big blue buildins.  I heard that they bought the Ricks Cove property also.  Who knows!!
