Just wondering if anyone ever ventures down to the Maumee River to take part in the run! I just recently talked to some guys at cabelas who were telling me that starting the first week of march its unbelievable! I cant remember the last time I have been fishing that I wasnt in a boat, but these long cold winters are driving me insane

This will be my third year fishing the Maumee run and am usually down there at least 3 times a week, its a great run if you dont have a boat or just love to wade.
With the late winter this year the run is really a couple weeks away, I have yet to catch a walleye this year and have not heard of any being caught. Hopefully we get some warm rain and start hitting 40 degrees on a regular basis.

if you visit the maumee tackle website it has daily updates on the run, water conditions, and fishing reports. i looked the other day and there were no walleye yet but after a slight warm up this week it could start to produce.
if you never have been and like to wade you got to give it a try. it can be hit or miss, but if your there when a good run of fish are coming through it can be a blast.
good luck

| I plan on heading down there Saturday depending on how this rain effects them. I usually fish alone down there and would greatly appreciate any company, if anyone ever wants to to meet up or drive down with me let me know.
