My son had been wanting to go ice fishing with me so I pick a day that wasn't going to be too windy since I don't have a shanty. We headed to Long Lk (next to Union Lk) on Saturday & fished for about 3 1/2 hours. I picked Long Lk because I knew the ice would be good & we didn't have far to walk.
The ice was 6 in & the water was clear. We caught nothing but dink perch & blue gills but did have an hour of fun pulling in 3 pike (27", 24", & 23") on the tip-up.
