went out with friends wed 5-7-08 at 8.30 pm to the same spot rouge river mouth to try it again, found the water was stained and muddy, moved out to almost the middle of the river in front of the rouge river mouth  42 fow, the water was cleaner, the water was calm & very little wind, by 10.30 pm we had our limit, used shiny color plastic worms with faster jigging action,  the fish was still biting short only one fish took all of the jig i hooked up a nice female 28 in , that i let go , there were only 2 other boats that i seen on the water, it looked like setting on the couch was better than fishing, more fish for me:P. good luck every one & be safe
