West side of Grosse Isle about 1/4 mile down from the free bridge and almost straight across from the Edison discharge. Can't miss it, it's up on a lift and been sitting there for years.

Flyin' Tiger, can't beat it. That rainbow trout color really knocks em dead out at Erieau.

Sorry about the double post. Hey Mark, what does that Lucky's GSC look like?

I was just there last night and asked him about that spoon. He was busy cleaning fish and he gave me the "It's over there" wave. Figured I would catch him later at a better time. Thanks for the description Mark.

| Went out last night with Mark Bye in his boat. We went 8 for 10 last night with most of the fish coming from an area about 150 yards SE of the stacks. Fish were caught on a variety of different colored spoons. Lucky's GSC, Clown, Perch and a black spoon with multi-color reflective tape on it.

Mark - I looked for you last night but did not see your boat. Caught some nice walleye (one man limit with a couple 4 lbers) last night toward the middle of the channel south of the stacks. Most came on Sparky's GSC spoon. Which boat where you in?

You mean you couldn't see that shiny reel of mine out there ??
I was in a 16' green Polar Kraft, I was sitting on the left side. That's about where we were picking them up as well.

I was out last night too, saw the Polar Kraft. I caught three and all were on the east side of the channel south of the catamaran. All three were on Flyin' Tiger on the 5' kicker. Caught a few rock bass and something I thought was a walleye but ended up being a bunch of fire line and a mess of weeds. Seems like I couldn't get anything going after 9pm, switched to raps and had no luck with them, left around 10pm. Had to spend a lot of time clearning my lines of weeds
Lucky's GSC: Oh for god sake, I have one of those, along with one of almost all of those spoons in the picture.

Decided to go give the channel another try last night.
Started off down by the Catamaran and I lost one and picked up a dink Smallie. Around 8:00 pm I headed up to McClouth where I caught 2 in about 27 feet of water. One came on # 9 Clown the other on a #9 Blue Holographic. Around 9:30 pm I headed down below the #14 buoy where I caught one more on a #9 DT Killer Shad and lost another on the #9 Blue Holographic. Both fish came on the right side of the channel as I was making my turn west toward the ramp.
Water was very clean and floating weeds were almost non-existent. No junk fish !!

Tonight was one of those nights when I should have just stayed home.
Went down to Lizzy Park to go handlining for a bit. No one was at the ramp so I didn't have to pay to launch. My luck ended right there. Went up by the Harrison ramp and the weeds were terrible. After several attempts I finally got my lures down weed free only to catch 4 smallies and 2 rock bass before I ever hooked a walleye. Unfortunately he and the 3 pounds of weeds he was dragging came off at the side of the boat. I did manage to get 2 in the boat but after a couple of hours of fighting with the weeds and swallowing bugs I gave up.
Went to the car and I found out that my right trailer light housing was completely smashed. If that wasn't bad enough my trailer plate was gone as well. Looks like I'm making a trip to the Sec. of State sometime in the near future.
Oh Joy !!!!
ps...both fish came on a #7 Hot Steel just between the 13 & 14 Bouy's.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck with the trailer, sounds like an easy fix though, just the time wasted at the suck-retary of state.
Getting two and having a third on sounds a heck of a lot better than the other reports I have herad for the Trenton Channel, way to go.
