Went out Sunday night around 7:00 pm down to the Trenton Channel.  Caught several silver bass and a small muskie.  Didn't get my first walleye until 8:15 (#7 Blue & Silver, 5 foot lead).  Picked up two other walleyes, one on a #9 Clown and a #11 Orange and Gold Rapala.  Hung up a weight and my shank broke shortly after the 3rd fish.  Got all my lures back but it was a tangled mess so I just headed in.

I did notice that as I was bringing in the 3rd walleye he was followed up by another walleye.

Heading out again Wednesday night and probably Friday night, will post how I do.

Went out last night with Jerry Hinton and Mike Pasik.  Jerry drove the boat while Mike and I fished.  We picked up 6 with 5 of them coming on a #11 Orange and Gold Rapala and 1 on a Flyin' Tiger spoon.  Cold out there in the channel last night.

Went out last night and picked up 3 more for about 2 hours of fishing.  No consistent pattern, caught them on every lead and 3 different lures.

Purple/Chrome pencil plug

#11 Orange/Gold

#9 Clown

Water temp was 52 degrees.  Only caught a couple of silvers.

Went out last night with our esteemed President Dan B.  We started at the BASF wall jigging and caught a bunch of Silver Bass.  From there we went over to Fighting Island and picked up one walleye and a bunch of White Perch.  Around 9 I said enough of this screwing around, time to get serious so we switched over to handlining over in the west Mud Island channel.  We caught more Silver Bass and 3 walleyes in about 45 minutes.  We quit around 10:00 pm (That getting up in the morning for work thing is a pain).

Dan caught his on a #9 Clown.  That's right, Dan the devoted bass fisherman caught a walleye handlining.  At first he thought it was another Silver bass.  Next thing I know I hear an "Oh Crap" and a walleye is hitting the deck.  He sure is a jumpy little guy, every time he hooked a fish I thought he was going to jerk the whole rig right out of the water.  Must be that bass fishing hook set mentality.

Mine came on #11 Orange/Gold Rapala.

Went out last night north of the Grosse Isle free bridge by the #13 bouy and picked up 3 walleyes.  Got all of them on a red/white Stubbie.  Few other boats pulling wire and we were all covering a lot of water trying to find the fish.  It was a Sllllllooooooowwwwwwww night!  Oh yea.....one other thing, the Silvers are still there.

Went out last night with DWF member  Mark Bye and went 5 for 7 down river. Started in front of the Harrison Ramp and fished up to McClouth Steel. Caught the fish on Orange/Gold, Clown, Purple/Silver Thunderstick, and a custom Rap (DT-158). Silver Bass are still around but not in the same numbers from a week ago.  Wind died down after dark and it was absolutely perfect out.

Sorry about this late report, fished on Sunday- 15th, handlining, caught 1 at the BASF wall. Fished the mill in Ecorse, north of Fighting Island & the salt mines with no luck. Saw a few guys getting them drifting bb with crawlers. Still catching the silvers & caught a 6-7 lb sheephead, what a fight!

Went out into the channel last night with my friend Dean after the storm passed.  Went 5 for 7 on Flying Tiger and Rainbow Trout Spoons.  Fished between the Stacks and the Catamaran.  Started around 7:30 pm and quit around 10:00 pm.  Also caught the blackest Smallmouth I have ever seen, about a 3 pounder.
