It looks like the 4 spring tourneys will be out of Elizabeth Park. Details/schedule/rules should be available by the end of the week.

Just read the new rules on the entry form. Looks good to me except for the starting times. In my experience last year I didn't start fishing until 7:30am like the rules state but each time out last year it seemed like I was the last one to start fishing. I ran across boats in the tourney's that had 2 or 3 fish in the well before I even started to fish? No matter, still placed 4th overall.

With the winter we're having and the thickness of the ice we'll be lucky to have open water by the second tournament. Here's hoping for a quick warming trend in March.

Just re-read this and it sounds like I'm being a bit arrogant . No intentions meant. I just think there should be no start time on the tourney day, just a weigh-in time and then there would be no cause for argument.

I like your suggestion. Last year I heard a lot of grumbling about the start time.
It is my understanding that it is up to Paul George the tournament director to change the starting time. Maybe if enough people ask for an earlier start time Paul will change it. I already suggested a starting time of 6:30 or 7 am, but if he hears it from enough people it might actually get changed. The committees/board of directors are supposed to listen to the comments and suggestions of the membership, but you have to speak up for that to happen. It is understandable they can't change rules every time one person gives a suggestion, but if it comes from a lot of the participants it will mean more. Thanks!

It is understandable that some might want an earlier start time or no start time on each and every club tournament. But for the best interests of the club and the opinions and information I recieve I believe it is best that the current start time remain the same for now. I will bring it up at the next club and board meeting! Thanks for bring up the issue at hand.
