| The Matzuo Sickle jig hook has been my goto hook for 5 years now. Looks like the secret has got out now! You'll love em. They are scary sharp and seem to get penetration right through the bone in the roof of a walleyes mouth!

Agree, That hook is nasty. It is a little week though but myslef and I know Bret will use it over all others. Plus there kinda inexpensive. The tip might role over sometimes if you fish Trenton alot but that really seems not to matter much.

The Matzuo sickle hooks are good for jigging because you will lose less fish but their down fall is they are a weak hook. I never had a problem with them bending on walleye but I have had smallmouth bend them up pretty good. I have also heard from other guys that they have had a lot of bad hooks in their packages that they couldn’t use in their molds.
Cabelas sells them the cheapest. If you buy a large quantity (1,000 bronze hooks) they cost less than 4 cents each or 8 cents each with the 100 pack.
