I am currently purchasing a boat from out of state which is rigged with these units.
I was wondering if anyone could share any info on these units , likes and dislikes or
any info in general would really be appreciated!
The units are=2005 102c on bow
2005 x25c on dash
tried to get info on net , but would rather get some first hand opinions
thanks , and see ya on the river!

Brian,
You might want to speak with Lance Valentine @ http://www.waleye101.com or at the DWF Meeting on Monday 2/18/08 the guest speaker Dan Boileau is a Lowrance guru also and may have the answers you are looking for.
Later,
Greg

| they are quite easy to use. easy to set to your requirements. move waypoints in and out of. like mentioned, lances class or dan can help you alot. hands on will speed up your learning. then it's just time learning what the unit is trying to tell you. i've been using lowrance sonar and gps for many years. lowrance, raymarine, garmin, and now hummingbird are all top notch units. each brand has it's own "best" atributes. a very good friend runs 3 top of the line units on his boat. he prefers the lowrance for sonar, the raymarine for radar and garmin as the best for GPS. all the units do sonar and gps. i believe you will like those units. i run 3 lowrance units on my boat. 2 at the console and one that i can move from the front to the rear of the boat.

| Brian - I use the Lowrance 102c. It is an excellent unit for the price. This unit has performed very well for me for the past two seasons. No dislikes at all. Do you have a GPS on the bow of your new boat?

Paul,
there is an older (2000)seperate garmin gps along with the 102c on the bow
I am thinking about going with the 520c combo up front if I can network with the x25c on the dash !
thanks brian

Brian
Can you check the back of the unit to see what color jack the unit uses? Let me know. It may not be compatiable.
